Executive Chef Owner – Dawn Hustrulid

Ever since she could remember, Chef Dawn has wanted to cook. Being American born to a French mother, importance was placed on her French heritage. Chef Dawn would be sent to live with her “grandmaman” in France for 5 months out of the year. There, Chef Dawn would learn the French language, history, customs, and most importantly to her, the French cuisine.

Each year Chef Dawn would return to her grandmother’s expansive farm in the Alsace-Lorraine region, and would learn to plant, tend and cultivate wonderful organic fruits and vegetables. From the garden a bounty would be picked each day and used to everyday and formal cuisine.

Decades later, Chef Dawn kept on with her lifelong desire, and went to be formally trained at the Nationally Accredited Culinary program at O.C.C.. There she was hired while still in school and on recommendations of her instructors with a well-known catering establishment as one of their chefs.

From there, Chef Dawn wanted to incorporate her past training in nutrition with her knowledge of fresh organic food, and Chef Dawn’s personal chef services began. Today, Chef Dawn brings a variety of services including catering, event coordination and professional service referrals for your event.

Event Coordinator – Jonathan Colliflower

As founder and creative consultant for Splendid Events, Jonathan has partnered with Party In A Box Catering and is dedicated to producing the most cost effective and memorable event for each and every client. Knowing that every taste and style is different, and what one may see as wild and garish, another may see as classy and in vogue, he continues to keep his finger on the pulse of current trends and styles, while listening to his clients and turning their vision into reality. From Weddings to Corporate events, he makes every occasion Splendid !

Event Coordinator – Cassandra “Cassie” Kohler

With over 10 years in the event industry, Cassie has orchestrated countless events ranging from intimate dinner parties to 500 person weddings to multi-day conferences. Before partnering with Party In A Box Catering, she worked as a coordinator for restaurants and high-end hotels giving her the inside knowledge to make any event a smashing success. She works closely with her clients to understand their personalities, tastes and desires and is dedicated to making their occasion memorable and enjoyable. Everyone deserves to be a guest at their own event and Cassie can make that happen!

Event Coordinator – Mikii Rathmann

Mikii has been planning weddings, meetings and events for over 12 years. She began her career in the hotel industry nearly 20 years ago and before strating her Neon Carrot Events, served as the Vice President of Brand Marketing for an elite division of the nation’s largest hotel management company. Mikii is known for her creativity, extreme patience, calming nature and ability to take an event from concept to market for her clients. She values the opportunity to be part of a team working together to achieve event goals.. Mikii graduated with a degree in communication studies from CSU Sacramento, loves photography and traveling with her husband and their pup Ruby.
